Lloyds Coaches, a family business founded 18 years ago, has added a further two ADL Enviro200 single-deck buses. The latest additions are both high-specification 10.8m, 41-seat models powered by Cummins engines and Allison 2100 transmissions. They feature leather seats, under-seat lighting, USB charging points, audio and visual destination systems, and seat belts.
Both buses have gone into service on the T12 route that operates between Machynlleth, where the company is based, to Newtown, Welshpool, Oswestry and Wrexham.
The route forms part of TrawsCymru Connect, a flagship initiative sponsored by the Welsh Government that links key towns and cities spanning a 90-mile stretch across mid and north Wales.
The new Enviro200s join a number of 80-seat Enviro400 double-decks which Lloyds run on its X28 Coastliner route.
Wyn Lloyd, Managing director and founder of the business, says: “We have come a long way in 18 years and remain committed to providing quality, best-in-class services. Our investment strategy will therefore remain focused on products and technology that provide stylish, passenger-friendly vehicles, while also reducing emissions and enhancing the environment. Our new Enviro200s do just that.”
