Prentice Coaches stays loyal to ADL with Enviro200
Prentice Coaches, based in Haddington, near Edinburgh, has added to its 20-strong fleet with a new ADL Enviro200. The 10.8m 39-seat Euro6 model joins an entirely ADL bus fleet and has gone into operation on East Lothian route 108 between Haddington and Fort Kinnaird. It is powered by a Cummins ISBe four-cylinder, 185bhp engine with a ZF Lite gearbox.
“The bus side of our company is growing nicely with services reaching out from Haddington to areas as far afield as Tranent, Whitecraig, Wallyford, Musselburgh, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the new route to Fort Kinnaird retail park,” says Ross Prentice, managing director. “Just like the coach sector, the key to success in terms of providing local bus services is friendly drivers, stylish, comfortable, reliable vehicles that are fuel efficient, perform well and are easily maintained. The Enviro200 meets all of these criteria, hence the reason it dominates our bus fleet.”
