CILT seeks nominations for 2009 awards

THE Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is calling for nominations from across the transport industry for its 2009 Annual Awards for Excellence. The awards recognise achievements and encourage the highest standards and a professional approach to the practice of logistics and transport.  Categories cover both individual and corporate achievement, and include personnel and management skills, operational progress, safety and the environment.

CILT chief executive Steve Agg says: “Times are tough in 2009 and our awards process provides the ideal opportunity to promote good practice and achievement by both individuals and organisations, as well as recognising important contributions to the ever upward progress of our vital transport industry.”

The winners will be announced at a dinner in London on 22 October.
