An Optare Soroco has joined the fleet of Redwing Coaches of London, part of the Addison Lee organisation.
At 19 seats the new coach bridges the gap between Addison Lee’s six-seat people carriers, of which the company has 1,800, and the midi and full-size coaches in the 75-strong Redwing and Reliance Travel fleets.

Paul Hockley, general manager at Redwing Coaches, says: “Our decision to acquire another Soroco was influenced by the good performance of a pair purchased in 2007 and one that entered service last year and which have proved popular with customers.”

The Soroco is built in Spain by Ferqui and is based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 515Cdi with 150bhp 2.1-litre engine. The Redwing coaches have automatic gearboxes.
