Jones Holidays first Plaxton in 30 years
NEW for Jones Holidays of Flint is the company’s first new Plaxton since 1979, and its first Volvo ever. The coach is a B12B I-Shift with 12.3m 49-seat Plaxton Panther body.
“The Panther appealed because of its wide entrance and theatre-style seating,” says Alun Jones, “and since all our maintenance is carried out by Thomas Hardie’s Deeside depot it seemed logical to go for a Volvo when we’re working so closely with a Volvo dealership.”
Jones Holidays is one of the oldest family-owned transport businesses in Wales, having been set up by Alun’s grandfather in 1898, originally with a hand cart, later moving on to horse-drawn and then motorised vehicles. Today the company runs eight full-size coaches on an extensive programme of British and European holidays.
